This house, located in a central park in the municipality of Elgoibar, originally had a classic layout where the day (kitchen and living room) and night (three bedrooms and two bathrooms) spaces were differentiated by a long L-shaped interior corridor. With a rectangular floor plan, the living spaces overlooked the two façades, leaving the server spaces in the interior of the house.

Comprehensive rehabilitation

The dwelling required a total update both in its construction and in the functioning and distribution of spaces.

The proposal eliminates the interior corridor, maximising the surface area of all the rooms and generating a large, very ample and luminous main space containing the kitchen, dining room and living room, and from which the rest of the rooms of the dwellings are accessed. The master bedroom, consisting of the sleeping area, a generous dressing room and an en-suite bathroom, is located in the most private corner of the house. The two children’s bedrooms are the most accessible from the main space.
