For the creation of this commercial premises, the starting point was the premise that a physiotherapy and osteopathy space should offer an intimate, close and professional atmosphere so that customers immediately sense that they are in a place of ‘Well-being’.
To achieve this, three elements have been used.
VOLUMETRY. The spaces destined for the clients, the massage room stretcher area and the waiting area, have a gabled volumetry that transmits a cosy feeling of ‘home’. The rest of the spaces have flat ceilings and transmit a more functional and clinical image.
TEXTURE (colour). The massage tables are placed in a slightly wider strip than the couch and are anthracite in colour with a smooth texture. This creates a warm and intimate atmosphere for the client. The rest of the spaces are light grey with a very rough texture. This combination of colour and light texture conveys the sensation of warmth and luminosity of a ‘Well-being’ space.
THE LIGHTING is always placed longitudinally on the edge defined by the junction of the vertical wall and the sloping roof, illuminating upwards. This situation generates a very different lighting effect depending on whether the texture is smooth or rough. A dimmable LED strip has been installed in the massage areas to better control the atmosphere required for the massage.
The entrance volume is completely grey, with a pronounced texture and incorporates a large continuous bench.
