The MEKA Vocational Training Center asked us to design a canopy for its building located in the Albitxuri industrial estate in Elgoibar. This canopy would serve as an exterior shelter for students during their recess time.
CANOPY DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
For the construction of the canopy, the triangular-shaped location located in front of the entrance of the building is used.
Due to the tight budget, a minimum solution was chosen that contemplates the construction of the pavilion with the strictly necessary elements. To do this, the new construction rests on the existing one using a concrete slab, the same 80x80X3 steel profile is used to create all the necessary structure and furniture and the protection of the canopy is carried out with a sheet of glass.
