The objective of the project was to connect the urban area of ??Lliria with the monastery of San Miguel through a suitable landscaped pedestrian path. To do this, it was necessary, on the one hand, to rearrange the geometry of the square in the town center and, on the other, to clean up the first section of the slope and demolish the existing homes that were in a completely unhealthy state. The surface gained with the demolition of the homes must be returned to the mountain and becomes a rest park for people who go to the Monastery of San Miguel.

The proposed project aims to be implemented in the existing environment in the least aggressive way, trying to give value to its strengths.

The project contemplates the paving and remodeling of both pedestrian and road areas, respecting their structure, expanding where possible the existing sidewalks and garden areas. The area is also provided with vegetation with shade and urban furniture (benches, planters, fountains, trash cans…).

Through its pavements, the project distinguishes two differentiated areas in the entire intervention. The urban plaza and the garden area of ??the “Cuesta” itself
